Licensing that stays out of your way
Think of it like a mobile phone plan: pay as you go, take a monthly quota with a forgiving overage allowance, or buy the licence outright.
Out of licence — hopefully only ever temporarily — the tool stays usable. You keep full access to everything you've already made or have in progress, and you can still start new reports; they just output as draft until your licence is back in credit.
